The Problem
Although a high density of storage was required for both current filing and archive storage media, insufficient floor space was available for conventional filing cabinets and cupboards to meet the needs of incoming departments. In addition all storage facilities needed to be generic, to cope with a dynamic and flexible approach to business operations.
- Raised access computer floors had been used throughout
on all floors,limiting the weight
of any storage equipment that could be introduced.
- It was also pointed out that some files would be
of a highly sensitive nature, so the ability
to keep them under lock and key outside of working
hours would be important.
- Any systems supplied would need to be harmonious
and integrate with the overall
appearance and ergonomics of the site.
