However, rather than requesting original documents and waiting for them to be courier back, the required documents are scanned and e-mailed to clients within a specified service level agreement.
This can also be a very cost effective means of moving to a scanned archive solution. Rather than scanning all documents going back over the necessary legal retention period (typically 6 years or above), many clients scan just 1-2 years (as these are likely to be the most frequently accessed) and then pay only for those additional documents that are scanned as and when required.
